today what a bored day for me..but i tried to make my day to be more mean to me..im just staying at home since this morn..send my hubby to work and just stay at home again..enjoy some movies..maybe will have a little shopping for a while at the evening to buy some groceries..will fetch my hubby late night and having a supper (as usual).. ----> the reason that i gain my weight..haha..

my day without my Facebook is like a day without any entertainment..perghhh!!my diet routine..??nggeee... ----> o.O" don't ask..i think i had lose a few Kgs.."maybe"..my work,as usual..such a bored duty but quite OK la..

my plan for the next few days..emmm...in planning..haha..will go back for duty on Tuesday..uwaaa...i will miss my hubby for sure..and will start my diet routine again..physically,there is no change but hopefully i aready lose a few gram or Kg perhaps..hehe..

i wish i can continue my writing about my culture "ibanese"..but i still have not enough info about it at the moment..hope to write bout it again soon..wait for it yah..thanks to you guys who had visited my blog and read bout everything i had wrote here..don't forget to visit again yah..

hi..!! nothing much to say..im fine,im happy but quite bored here in Sri Aman and for sure,i miss my hubby!! ----> ( T_T) i have no friends here..have a few but still new to get to know them..i miss all my friends in kuching..hhmm..

My day..

Hari nie aku start kerja kat PIBU Sri Aman (SEDC)..yesterday aku report duty kat SEDC Kuching..Pagi tadi aku drive sorang-sorang dari Kuching ke Sri Aman..Followed by my trainer,Ms. Cynthia Alban..

Along my journey,aku hanya terfikirkan hubby ku jak..gonna miss him so bad..Belom gik sampai Sri Aman hubby and i dah merindui antara satu sama lain..

Memang sedih bila terpaksa berjauhan dari hubby..rasa macam kesunyian je..tetapi ada gak peristiwa lucu hari nie..First day sampai Sri Aman,terus kena saman parking..memang cun la gamak nye....hahaha..sesiapa yang suka beli nombor ekor tu,rajin-rajin la beli nombor ni k..4.10.11..hehe..

Kerja hari nie ok je..nothing much to do..aku banyak observed je semua kerja coz masih baru lagi..hopefully esok dapat lebih banyak lagi pelajaran..

So,nothing much to say..jam pun dah lewat..esok awal bangun nak turun kerja..Good night..

Miracles..

When you are feeling alone in this world,you totally forget about someone that really near to you and really cares for you no matter where you are,what are you doin',what is your condition and so what ever..the "someone" that i mentioned about is JESUS..He always be by our side whenever we need Him or not..He will never leave you alone in this world..He loves His child..

There had been a miserable & unacceptable things did happened in my life through all this year..day by day..month by month i faced it with a fragile heart and weaknesses..but one thing that i never forget,pray to GOD..even when i'm down and give up with all the miserable problems but i thanked GOD that He gave me strength so that i can stand till now..

Yes,sometimes it's hurt..so damn hurt for me..but GOD never put the pain on me..but he covered it and healed it with His blood..He died on the Cross and saved us..He did it to me and you if you believe in Him..because,He is the Way and the Truth,no one can come to Father except through Him..

From January 2011 untill September 2011,i had through all the pain and it healed..i stand with the blessed from God..i put all the problem into His arms and ask Him to take control..Yes!! He answered my prayer..even i had waited for too long and had gone too far from Him..but,He loves me most..

Today,30th September 2011,i had received 2 good news..i had offered by SEDC for the post of Pembantu Tadbir (P/O) N17..at last my pray was answered..i'v been waiting for so long to get a job and to be hire..it's almost near to give up but God knows when will the exactly time He will show His miracle..Praise to the Lord for His kindness..Halleluya..i had been through all hard period to get a job..from the day i had resigned from my previous work coz of a few things that i can't avoid..it's painfull and will gone as the time goes by..hopefully..i went to a lot of interview sessions and tired of it..but somehow,God had planned something for me..

On 6th October 2011,i will attending my 2nd interview for the post of Latihan Jururawat Masyarakat U29 (SPA)..i will attend this interview.. it is something that i had waited for so long..i will pray for this and hoping God will bless me all the way..

Yet,this is one more thing that i had waited for so long..between me and my future husband..this matter just let it keep as a secret between us and God..it's a sensitive issue for me..everytime i pray for it,i'm in tears..it's painfull..God,let You put Your mercy and bless upon me..guide me through all this kind of thing..i had enough of this..it's time for You to take part..Amen..

Bro and sis in Christ,there is nothing impossible in this world if you still believe in God and don't stop praying to Him..He will answer your pray..for me,these are all the miracles that God had sent to me for this year..i'll waiting for the more miracles to come..coz i believe that THE BEST IS YET TO COME.. Colour..

Life is full of colour..when you were born into this world a few years back,your life was in a white colour..when you grows up,you are the one who responsible to colour up your life..the colour that painted had its own meaning..

People around you just someone that who will guide you and someone to teach you to colour your life..they are not responsible to paint the colour or choose which colour your life should be..without the colour,your life is meaningless..

Happy,sad,mad,stress,peace,crazy,love and any feelings that come through your life can be represent by any kind of colour that you wish to use to express it..but be carefull,once you paint your life with the wrong colour,it will bring disaster to your life..and it will make it meaningless..

(traditional blankets). A visit to clean the graveyard is also conducted and offerings offered to the dead. After the visit it is important to bathe before entering the longhouse to ward off bad luck.

The celebration starts on the evening of 31 May. In most Iban longhouses, it starts with a ceremony called Muai Antu Rua (to cast away the spirit of greed), signifying the non-interference of the spirit of bad luck in the celebration. Two children or men each dragging a chapan (winnowing basket) will pass each family's room. Every family will throw some unwanted article into the basket. The unwanted articles will be tossed to the ground from the end of the longhouse for the spirit of bad luck.

Around 6 pm or as the sun sets, miring (offering ceremony) will take place. Before the ceremony, gendang rayah (ritual music) is performed. The Feast Chief thanks the gods for the good harvest, and asks for guidance, blessings and long life as he waves a cockerel over the offerings. He then sacrifices the cockerel and a little blood is used together with the offerings.



This is my grandfather who know how to make "piring". Those are the materials that use to make a "piring".

Once the offering ceremony is done, dinner is then served at the ruai. Just before midnight, a procession up and down the ruai seven times called Ngalu Petara (welcoming the spirit gods) is performed. During this procession, a beauty pageant to choose the festival's queen and king (Kumang & Keling Gawai) is sometimes conducted. Meanwhile, drinks, traditional cakes and delicacies are served.


This is me who wore a "ngepan iban" that use to be wear during Gawai Festival. A lady that use "ngepan" will be call as "Kumang" whereas a guy will be call as "Keling".

At midnight, the gong is beaten to call the celebrants to attention. The longhouse Chief (tuai rumah) or Festival Chief will lead everyone to drink the Ai Pengayu (normally tuak for long life) and at the same time wish each other "gayu-guru, gerai-nyamai" (long life, health and prosperity). The celebration now turns merrier and less formal. Some will dance to the traditional music played, others will sing the pantun (poems). In urban areas, Dayaks will organise gatherings at community centres or restaurants to celebrate the evening.

Traditionally, when guests arrive at a longhouse, they are given the ai tiki as a welcome. From time to time, guests are served tuak

Christian Dayaks normally attend a church mass service to thank God for the good harvest.

Gawai Dayak celebrations may last for several days. It is also during this time of year that many Dayak weddings take place, as it is one of the rare occasions when all the members of the community return home to their ancestral longhouse.

colonial government refused to recognise Dayak Day. Gawai Dayak was formally gazetted on 25 September 1964 as a public holiday in place of Sarawak Day. It was first celebrated on 1 June 1965 and became a symbol of unity, aspiration and hope for the Dayak community. Today, it is an integral part of Dayak social life. It is a thanksgiving day marking good harvest and a time to plan for the new farming season or activities ahead.

Pride oF Betong,Sarawak..

Rentap or Libau (died 1863) was a famous Dayak (Iban) warrior in Sarawak, Malaysia during the BrookeWhite Rajahs era in that state. "Rentap" in Iban means "Worldshaker". He was known as "Raja Darat" or "Raja Ulu". Essentially, Rentap's rebellion was due to the White Rajah's or James Brooke's action of eliminating the Ibans in Skrang because he thought they were pirates. Being a leader of the Ibans there, Rentap took the subsequent action of attacking James Brooke's fort at Skrang River called Nanga Skrang. James' then burnt Rentap's village after he successfully drove James Brooke's side out of Skrang. He retreated to Bukit Sadok and built himself a fort after a defeat at Sungai Lang, Ulu Skrang by James Brooke in the year 1854. There he gained a reputation and thwarted many plans by James Brooke to control the Skrang and Saribas areas. Only after many attempts and with the aid of bigger cannons did James Brooke defeat Rentap in the year 1861. Though defeated, Rentap never officially surrendered. He retreated to Sungai Entabai and died in same place. In Malaysia, he is not only renowned in Sarawak, but he is also a national hero in both Sabah and the Peninsula as both a national hero and a freedom fighter.

Rentap's battlecry was Agi Idup, Agi Ngelaban!! which means I will fight as long i will live!!.This legendary battlecry later become Malaysia's Royal Ranger Regiment motto.

the place where they put the cannon currently is at Pejabat Daerah Betong,Sarawak.. the wooden that support the cannon was made by my grandfather.. if you want to see the real cannon then come to Betong and see it by yourself.. the cannon is one of the pride of Betong..

on 27th march 2010,we had a dinner for 8th anniversary Betong become a Division at Dewan Stephen Kalong Ningkan,Betong.. the theme for that night was Tradisional "1 Malaysia".. on that night i wore a cheongsam that made from kain batik ukir.. but the problem was,where i should make up & tied up my hair.. want to go to saloon?? OMG.. got lots of people at that time.. no way for saloon..

Iban's Tatoo (siri 1)..

this is Iban's Tatoo...it called 'Bungai Terung"..tatoo corak jenis Bungai terung ni famous di kalangan bangsa iban..selain corak ini,banyak lagi corak ukiran lain yang melambangkan bangsa iban..setiap suku kaum di Sarawak mempunyai corak tatoo & motifnya tersendiri..pada zaman dahulu,jika seseorang itu mempunyai tatoo,orang akan diuji terlebih dahulu..kerana orang zaman dahulu tidak boleh membuat tatoo sebarangan..ia mesti perlu ada motif dan corak yang melambangkan seseorang itu..sekarang,tatoo telah dijadikan fesyen..banyak anak-anak muda zaman sekarang tidak kira lelaki atau perempuan yang bertatoo termasuk lah hubby aku & adik aku..hehehe...

this is 'Terabai' or its common name called as Worrior Shield..ukiran terabai boleh diukir dalam pelbagai bentuk..bagi kaum iban,ukiran 'antu engkeramba' adalah yang paling famous kerana ia dikatakan dapat memberikan perlindungan kepada tuannya serta dapat menolong dalam peperangan suatu masa dahulu..terabai boleh dibuat dengan saiz yang besar,sederhana besar ataupun kecil..bentuknya pula boleh dibuat berdasarkan kreativiti anda sendiri..dulu,ukiran terabai juga menjadi kebanggaan kaum iban..pembuatan terabai bukan la senang..ia memerlukan ketelitian yang tinggi..ukiran yang halus & ketekunan dalam mengukir coraknya..terabai diperbuat daripada kayu dan hanya mempunyai satu jenis warna sahaja mengikut kesukaan tuannya..sekarang,terabai boleh dilihat dengan pelbagai jenis warna..

jika pada suatu masa dahulu,terabai digunakan untuk melindungi diri daripada serangan pihak musuh semasa peperangan..namun sekarang,kita boleh lihat terabai telah menjadi barang perhiasan bukan sahaja oleh kaum iban tetapi ramai lagi kaum-kaum lain yang dah mula menyukai keunikan terabai ini..

my grandfather is a terabai maker..he already made a lot of terabai in any sizes..he is full of knowledge and talent to make terabai and a lot of ibanese stuff that made from wood such as swords,blowpipe and much more..im proud of my grandfather..

pua kumbu terkenal di kalangan orang iban di Sarawak..my mom also a pua kumbu maker..pua kumbu mempunyai banyak motif corak..bagi kaum iban,kami lebih kepada motif 'engkeramba',mean monster/ghost..tapi,zaman sekarang banyak motif flora & fauna digunakan..dulu,cara pembuatan pua kumbu adalah sangat susah & memenatkan..tapi sekarang,terdapat alternatif lain yang digunakan untuk membuat pua kumbu iaitu cara printing/cop..jika dulu,wanita kaum iban akan memperuntukkan masa sehingga berminggu-minggu menyiapkan sehelai pua kumbu,sekarang hanya mengambil masa beberapa jam/hari sahaja..pua kumbu dulu diperbuat daripada cotton wool..tapi sekarang tidak lagi,kerana cara printing/cop telah digunakan yang hanya menggunakan warna pilihan sahaja..

suatu masa dahulu,pua kumbu mempunyai banyak fungsi kepada kaum iban di Sarawak..ia digunakan oleh 'manang' bermaksud Dukun untuk upacara perubatan..ia juga digunakan untuk 'betipas' bermaksud menghalau bagi menyembuhkan sesuatu penyakit pada orang..selain itu,ia juga digunakan dalam upacara kematian untuk membuat 'sapat' bermaksud dinding untuk orang yang telah meninggal..bagi kaum iban,semangat padi adalah semangat yang perlu dijaga untuk mendapatkan berkat..bila anak padi telah tumbuh dan sedia untuk ditanam,kaum iban akan mendukung anak padi yang disimpan di dalam pua kumbu dari tanah hingga la ke rumah panjang..semangat padi akan di'gawai'kan sebelum di tanam di sawah..selain itu juga,pua kumbu mempunyai banyak lagi kegunaan lain..sekarang,pua kumbu terkenal sebagai fesyen terkini di kalangan pereka fesyen moden..

A Moment..

tentu korang pernah merasa bagaimana rasanya bila pertama kali menjejakkan kaki di tempat yang belum pernah anda kunjungi..bagi aku,it's a wonderfull moment that i'll never forget & a moment that i'll take as an experince..well..this is a moment that i'll share with you..



i spent a few minutes at Pantai Punang,Lawas,Sarawak to experince the sunset..i can't wait for the moment..



while i'm waiting for the sunset,aku ambik peluang la posing puas-puas dulu..hehe..

aku main-main dengan air pantai yang berombak kecik je..tak besar..teringin rasanya nak terjun je ke dalam air tu,menikmati ombak-ombak kecil..hehe..

haaa....kini hampir tiba masanya yang dinanti-nantikan..hehe..nampaknya apa yang kat belakang aku tu..??cun jugak cousin aku ni jadi photographer ek..hehe..wyen,after this you change your profession..hehe..

sambil tu,aku teruskan jugak perjuangan aku untuk berposing sakan..hehe..

well...and finally..this is the moment that i'd been waiting..hehe..beautiful sunset at Pantai Punang,Lawas,Sarawak..

"for a moment like this,some people search for a life time..for a moment like this,some people search forever.."hehe..even aku hanya sekejap je kat Lawas,but i grabbed all the opportunities yang ada depan mata..i also went to sipitang all the way to Sabah..hehe..adventure rite..
